Pilatus can look back on a highly successful but also challenging year, the company based in the canton of Nidwalden writes in a press release. In fact, it set a new production record with 152 aircraft deliveries, the company explains further. Sales at Pilatus rose by 19 percent year on year to stand at 1.3 billion Swiss francs, while at the same time the operating result increased by 35 percent to 210 million Swiss francs.
Alongside these highlights, the company was, however, forced to contend with “some turbulence”, the press release explains further. In specific terms, Pilatus points to disrupted supply chains and supply bottlenecks. “Thanks to a great deal of hard work and flexibility, we achieved a very good result of which the entire crew may be justifiably proud”, comments Markus Bucher, CEO of Pilatus, in the press release. “Meeting customer expectations despite unreliable supply chains and continuing deglobalization will, however, ensure that our work remains challenging”, he adds.
Hansueli Loosli, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Pilatus, remains confident for the future despite the expected further turbulences on the horizon. For the current year, the company can count on incoming orders amounting to 1.7 billion Swiss francs in the reporting year. Moreover, Pilatus boasts “a unique product range and quite simply the best products in their respective niches”, according to Loosli.
