F&P Robotics products are used in industry and healthcare. In industry the collaborative and safe robot arm P-Rob is used to increase efficiency and quality in production, assembly, quality control and packaging. In the healthcare sector Guido, Lio and P-Care support the professionals and residents of nursing homes and rehabilitation centers.
F&P Robotics is a “born global”. First sales to countries of the European Union and to China took place already in the starting year 2014. During the last years, a sales partner network in Europe and a Joint Venture company in China were established. A 100% daughter company of F&P in Shanghai is in foundation. The rapid aging of the Chinese society, the lack of qualified care givers and the high acceptance level of robotics make China a very interesting market. F&P believes that China will be its most important market in three years’ time. The assistance robot "P-Care" developed for a Chinese customer received an award for the most innovative product at the World Robot Conference 2018 in Beijing.
Germany is regarded as the second most important market for the next few years. F&P is therefore investing strongly in the development of service robotics in care and therapy assistance. The cooperation with Switzerland Global Enterprise has already led to the first customers in this new market. A project with S-GE is currently underway where these pilot applications are presented to major players (operators of nursing home chains, insurance companies, funding organizations, etc.) throughout Germany. The CEO and founder of F&P Robotics is Dr. Hans-Rudolf Früh. He gained more than 20 years of experience in the areas of artificial intelligence, collaborative robotics and human-robot interaction. His son Michael Früh acts as deputy of Dr. Früh, CFO and Business Development Manager. F&P employs more than 20 experts with MSc or PhD education from ETH, EPFL and similar Universities and offers young talents very interesting career entry opportunities.
