Celebrated by Switchup and Course Report as offering the best coding bootcamp program in Europe and present in 20 countries and 30 cities in the world (London, Berlin, Paris, Montréal, Sao Paulo, Shanghai, Tokyo, etc.), the French company Le Wagon opens its doors in Lausanne, notably thanks to the GGBa’s support and guidance.
Le Wagon was founded in 2013 in Paris and offers 45 courses and over 300 exercises to learn web development in a very practical way. No prior technical experience is required. The training courses allow participants to build a web prototype from scratch using Ruby, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, SQL, HTML & CSS, APIs, Github, Heroku and many other possibilities. The company’s mission is to bring a technical know-how to creative minds and entrepreneurs.
To this day, Le Wagon has a community of over 3,000 graduate students. The alumni have founded their own companies (including the creation of over 100 start-ups) and raised funds (over three million Euros of seed capital were raised), other have progressed in their careers and found positions as Web Developer, Product Owner, CTO, etc.
The French company has chosen the canton of Vaud for its first foray into Switzerland and the first training courses will start from January 2019 at the Gotham coworking space in Lausanne.
