Lucerne fintech wins in Austria

Private Alpha has won UniCredit Bank Austria’s Alpbach FinTech Award 2018. The company from Meggen combines investment strategies and artificial intelligence.

Private Alpha received the Alpbach FinTech Award 2018 at the Alpbach Finance Symposium. This year marked the first time that UniCredit Bank Austria handed out the 5,000-euro prize.

Five fintech companies were invited to the final, with the opportunity to showcase their businesses to the 500 symposium participants, who also chose the winner.

“I extend my warmest congratulations to Private Alpha for winning the Alpbach FinTech Award 2018. At UniCredit Bank Austria, we see digitalization as a driving force for change in the banking sector. Fintechs bring important ideas and impulses for established banks to this process,” commented Susanne Wendler, Division Head Corporate Clients at UniCredit Bank Austria, in a statement.

Private Alpha is headquartered in Meggen and has an office in Zurich. Its platform uses artificial intelligence to create investment strategies considering thousands of indicators.
