Based in Liège, Belgium, where it was founded in 1999, LASEA is also present in France and the United States and since last May in Switzerland through its subsidiaries. The company chose the bilingual city of Biel, in the canton of Bern, a strategic location at the heart of microtechnology, medical technology and watchmaking. “LASEA has been active in Switzerland since its creation. Thanks to our new Swiss subsidiary, we will be able to serve our customers even more efficiently”, says Philippe Chavanne, director of LASEA Switzerland. The Biel subsidiary has a latest generation 3D workstation, equipped with two laser sources allowing, among other things, zero conicity cutting and drilling. “We offer our customers high-precision services”, emphasizes Beat Jaeggi, Applications Manager.

Laser solutions for an array of sectors

LASEA is a pioneer in the field of femtosecond laser machines. Its state-of-the-art technology allows accuracy up to 0.2μm, 250 times less than the diameter of a hair. Industrial applications are numerous: cutting, marking, engraving, drilling, texturing, thin film removal. The Belgian company applies its expertise to a wide range of sectors, from high-end watchmaking to medical devices, the pharmaceutical and the automotive sectors and the glass industry.
