Beside good working conditions in Switzerland, the respondents consider the work-life balance as very pleasant. They seem to show great confidence in the situation of the Swiss economy. But not only financial aspects are highly rated by the expats: The quality of air and the unique surroundings contribute to Switzerland’s lead position as well. In addition, the country offers numerous benefits for families: The expats consider their offspring to be completely safe, enjoy good quality of life and a first class education.
The «2014 Expat Explorer Survey» is commissioned by the British bank HSBC and conducted by the research company YouGov. For that purpose, 9,300 expats from 100 different countries have been surveyed online. The respondents were asked about aspects such as quality of life, financial well-being and the ease of raising a family.
