脱炭素社会に向けたスイスの取り組み

地球温暖化という差し迫った課題に世界が直面する今、スイスや日本などの先進国では、脱炭素や環境への取り組みがこれまで以上に求められています。両国は、2050年までに排出量をゼロにするという同様の目標を掲げています。

2050年の目標達成に向けては、排出量の削減に加えて、化石燃料からの転換やCO2直接回収技術の導入などが重要な要素となります。

研究開発における国際的な協力と交流は、スイスと日本のようなイノベーション大国にとって特に意味のあることです。今回のSWISSTECH in Japan 2021では、脱炭素化の最前線で活躍するスイスの革新的なスタートアップ企業2社を紹介します。Climeworks社は大気中の二酸化炭素を除去し、Synhelion社は二酸化炭素を輸送用の合成燃料に変える技術を有します。

また、クリーンテック分野の研究開発のプラットフォームとしてのスイスの利点についてもご紹介します。

As the world is faced with the pressing challenges of climate change and global warming, advanced economies such as Switzerland and Japan are engaging faster than ever with decarbonization and environmental efforts. Both countries have set a similar target of net-zero emission by 2050.
