Vision Remote is now also offering manufacturers of industrial machines, cranes and conveyor systems industrial remote controls with a touchscreen. The company from Stjørdal in Norway worked closely with Schurter to develop these, as the Lucerne-based company, which specializes in the development and production of electrical and electronic components, writes in a press release. “Vision Remote had a very specific idea of what they were looking for right from the start. In fact, the concept image that was sent to us at the time looks exactly like the final product now available on the market”, as Ronald van der Voort, Sales & Marketing Manager at Schurter in the Netherlands, explains in the press release.

The touchscreens developed by Schurter are designed for outdoor use and at temperatures as low as minus 20 degrees Celsius. They can also be easily operated with gloves and even in heavy rain. After initial sales in Scandinavia, the market is now being expanded to the rest of Europe and further afield.

Vision Remote customers have the option of customizing the remote controls in line with their own requirements without the need for any hardware changes. The display can show operating systems just as well as websites or camera images. “Together with Schurter, we developed the all-in-one solution just as we imagined it”, comments Arve Leren, Sales Manager at Vision Remote, in the press release.
