With ETIM, product data can be recorded in a classified manner and exchanged internationally in a standardized manner. The model is used in over 20 countries and is available in many languages. It enables customers to define exactly which technical attributes they need vis-à-vis potential suppliers.
ETIM will first of all be introduced for electrical technology, followed by sanitary installations, heating, ventilation and cooling technology, and finally other construction products.
The Australian and New Zealand industry association, Ai Group, expects the rollout to save costs and optimize supply chains for its members. International customers, in turn, will be able to supply them more easily.
