The certification was conducted by the Top Employers Institute, which recognizes leading employers around the world each year for providing excellent employee environments and nurturing and developing talent through all levels of the organization, according to a Sandozstatement.

The subsidiary of the Basel-based pharmaceutical company Novartis has now been certified for its outstanding employee offerings in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, the U.K. and Russia.

“Now that they have received the Top Employers Europe 2018 certification, they can rightfully consider themselves at the top of an exclusive group of the world’s best employers,” said David Plink, CEO of Top Employers Institute.

Richard Francis, CEO of Sandoz, added: “Being certified as a ‘Top Employer’ is a great achievement for Sandoz. I’m glad to see that our focused efforts to continuously improve our employer practices and to provide an outstanding employment environment to our associates have been recognized externally by the Top Employer Institute.”

Sandoz was evaluated on nine main criteria, and all responses were independently audited.
