The Nidwalden-based company SoftwareONE Holding AG has agreed a deal to acquire the UK firm HeleCloud. In so doing, it will be expanding its competencies in the area of Amazon Web Services (AWS), further details of which can be found in a press release. HeleCloud was founded in 2016 and specializes in consulting, software architecture and infrastructure engineering services in the area of AWS. Alongside the UK, the company also operates locations in the Netherlands and Bulgaria.
With the acquisition of HeleCloud, SoftwareONE has now announced seven takeovers so far this year. All of these acquisitions are focused on cloud expertise and strengthening the company’s AWS and Google divisions. According to the company’s half-year financial results communicated at the end of August, SoftwareONE has already posted a cash outflow totaling 34.8 million Swiss francs in connection with corporate acquisitions. This sum also contains what are known as earn-out payments linked to earlier takeover deals.
SoftwareONE is based in Stans in the canton of Nidwalden and has been listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange since October 2019. According to its own information, the company employs 8,300 staff members and boasts sales and service capacities in 90 countries. SoftwareONE closed the first six months of 2021 with a gross profit of 414.4 million Swiss francs, which equates to an increase of 12.3 percent compared with the corresponding period of the previous year.
