Zurich Airport remains the best airport in Europe. It has held this World Travel Awards title since as far back as 2004, further details of which can be found in a press release. Categories such as customer satisfaction and the quality of products and services are evaluated for the award.

“We are emerging from the biggest crisis in the history of aviation. We are very pleased that we are able to convince once again even during this time. This is primarily thanks to the great commitment of all employees and all airport partners here in Zurich”, comments Stephan Widrig, CEO of Flughafen Zürich AG, the company responsible for operating Zurich Airport.

Several development projects have been initiated to ensure that the quality of Zurich Airport remains high in the future. For example, a new baggage sorting facility is under construction and part of the airport shopping area is being renovated. In addition, a new, sustainable Dock A will be built over the next ten years, which will largely be made of wood.
