United Arab Emirates: New System for Commercial Document Certification

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates (MoFAIC) has introduced a new system for the certification of certificates of origin and commercial invoices as of 1 February 2023.

Following certification by the competent Chamber of Commerce and Industry and by the exporter in the eDAS System, the documents must be uploaded for digital consular certification. Documents are no longer certified by the Arab-Swiss Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CASCI) and the consulate of the United Arab Emirates.
