The unlimitrust campus, established by SICPA, represents an unprecedented endeavor in the world of digital trust. It is the world’s first dedicated hub for the trust economy, fostering a collaborative environment for innovators, industry leaders, start-ups, and researchers. The campus’s mission is to accelerate the creation of technologies and solutions that contribute to a genuine global trust economy, ensuring safety and reliability in transactions, interactions, and products across the physical and digital worlds.
The campus was inaugurated in the presence of federal Councilor Guy Parmelin, the President of the State Council, Christelle Luisier, and SICPA’s Chairman and CEO, Philippe Amon.
Building bridges in trust economy
Major actors in Swiss and global innovation, the canton of Vaud, SPEI, Innovaud, and the EPFL Innovation Park Foundation, are already actively participating in the overall campus dynamics. Several start-ups have already joined the campus, some of them welcomed at the heart of Trust Village, an incubation structure supported by the cantonal authorities, EIP and SICPA.
This community of innovators is animated by the Economy of Trust Foundation, a SICPA initiative to promote and advance the concept of a trust economy. The foundation plans to offer programs to stimulate innovation and organize events on the campus and beyond.
The unlimitrust campus, decidedly international, harmoniously integrates into its local environment at the heart of Western Switzeland, a region often referred to as the “Trust Valley”. Built partly by reusing materials from the former industrial site, the campus’ construction has allowed for area depollution. unlimitrust now offers a heavily wooded visual clearance, rich with nearly a hundred trees of 16 different species.
