Smino can speed up its international growth plans. The digital construction project tool provider is receiving an unspecified investment from Growth Advisory, the UBS financial partner for innovative Swiss startups.

According to a press release, this growth finance also enables smino to implement its vision of a complete common data environment (CDE) platform with a full-collaboration approach. CFO Rebecca Büsser believes that this is confirmation that the company is on the right path.

The startup expects the appointment of Norman Meyers to the board of directors to be a further impulse for its expansion beyond Switzerland. Meyer is described as “one of the most influential digital personalities in the German construction industry.” Managing Partner Sandor Balogh commented: “His track record is impressive, and he fits perfectly with smino.” He went on to add: “Furthermore, he is well-connected in the industry.”

Meyer sees himself as a navigator and helmsman to digital real estate innovation and tech startups. In the press release, he stated: “smino is an innovative and user-friendly solution that has proven itself successfully and demonstrated its unique selling proposition to numerous customers worldwide.” He added: “In my 20 years in professional real estate and digital innovation, I have learned that a strong, user-centered product and a professional and passionate team are central to success. And smino has it all.”
