Accelleron, the specialist for ship turbochargers based in Baden in the canton of Aargau, has agreed a strategic partnership with HD Hyundai Marine Solution (HD HMS). According to a press release, the cooperation will aim to integrate digital solutions linked to the Turbo Insights performance analytics platform developed by Accelleron in the Integrated Smartship System (ISS) operated by HD HMS. The digital optimization technologies for Accelleron turbochargers generated by the partnership are to be used on vessels that are either built by HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering or maintained and serviced by HD Hyundai Marine Solution.
The new digital platform is intended to offer significant potential for customers in terms of reducing fuel costs, minimizing emissions and optimizing engine maintenance operations. In particular, the Accelleron platform continuously provides performance data on the ship’s engine and facilitates monitoring of the drives of entire fleets in real time. Due to the fact that data is constantly being collected on an ongoing basis, users are able to implement precise maintenance planning.
