One of the fastest-growing markets worldwide

Cleantech is in greater and greater demand as a market segment for technologies, production processes and services that contribute to the protection and preservation of natural resources. With annual growth of 6.9%, cleantech is one of the fastest-growing markets worldwide. In 2007, turnover in the sector amounted to around 1,400 billion euros. In 2013, this amount almost doubled to over 2,500 billion euros. According to forecasts from the latest Swiss Cleantech Report, revenue is expected to increase to 5,902 billion euros by 2025, meaning that it will more than double again. Such growth rates are no longer seen by Western industrial nations. The market for cleantech is growing faster than the global market as a whole and is experiencing an unprecedented boom.
