Awards for the Himmelrich and Bürgenstock hotels

Two Swiss hotels have been awarded prizes at the International Travel Awards: Hotel Himmelrich in Kriens in the canton of Lucerne won in the Best Boutique Hotel category, while Bürgenstock Hotels & Resort in Obbürgen in the canton of Nidwalden was named as a winner in the Best Spa Hotel category.

At the International Travel Awards for 2022, two Swiss hotels have been awarded prizes.  According to a press release, Hotel Himmelrich won in the category of Best Boutique Hotel, with Bürgenstock Hotels & Resort also being named as one of the Best Spa Hotels. These results were announced by the competition organizer, the Dubai-based Golden Tree Events Organizing and Managing.

In total, more than 2,000 nominations were received. Over 30 jury teams from all over the world selected more than 300 winners across various categories in a five-stage process. The partners of this competition include Travel CEO (CRM software solution for travel agencies), HotelApp (#1 software solution for hotel guest management systems), the Hotel Guest Service App and the Mr.Resto QR code menu system app for restaurants.

Participants in the awards program include tourist boards, attractions, luxury hotels, 5-star and 4-star hotels, boutique hotels, travel agencies and destination management companies.

Hotel Himmelrich, where according to its website Swiss tradition meets luxurious charm, is situated close to Mount Pilatus and offers views over Lucerne and the whole of Lake Lucerne. The Bürgenstock Hotels & Resort comprises three separate hotels across an area of around 12 hectares above Lake Lucerne. According to its website, it offers “exclusive views of the surrounding mountain scenery” in addition to being “steeped in luxury and history”.

In addition to those already mentioned, three other Swiss companies were among the Europe winners announced on July 11: The Trip Boutique from Zurich in the Best Travel Technology Company category as well as both the Grand Hotel des Bains in St. Moritz in the canton of Graubünden and W Verbier in Verbier in the canton of Valais in the Best Ski Hotel category.
