The Innovation Network Eastern Switzerland (INOS) is looking back on a successful 2023. According to a statement, it developed and implemented over 80 pioneering innovation projects with more than 70 companies. Within the projects, regional contacts offer guidance in the complex funding landscape and experienced experts coach SMEs from idea to market launch.

The amount of coaching tripled from around 500 hours in 2022 to 1,600 hours last year, according to the statement. The projects ranged from strategy development, digitalization and supply chain management to circular business innovation.

The new funding package introduced in 2023 also met with great interest. It comprises three innovation platforms on the topics of supply chains, the circular economy and sustainability. These platforms offer SMEs in Eastern Switzerland the opportunity to network with industry leaders and leverage collaboration to implement innovation.

"We got off to a great start, with around 30 events in all eight participating cantons, and are looking forward to building on this momentum in 2024," INOS Managing Director Dr. Lukas Budde is quoted as saying in the statement. Overall, it was a “very satisfactory year”, he said, “which we are now building on”. Numerous workshops and events are already lined up for 2024. The events and regional contacts can be found on the INOS website.
