Reliability, quality and competence have made the NÜSSLI Group from Hüttwilen (Canton of Thurgau) a sought-after global provider of temporary structures. The company's work revolves around the construction of stages, stands and pavilions for sporting, cultural and business events: it has over 400 highly specialized employees, 20 branches, nine logistics centers and such a sizeable stock of materials that even large, complex buildings can be brought into being in a flash. The company executes 1,500 projects a year and generates a total turnover of 140 million Swiss francs.

Continuously growing export share
NÜSSLI has seen a steady increase in export activity since its establishment in 1941. The company is relying on its proven network of partners and suppliers, reliable logistics and its impressive track record to further increase its export share from the current figure of 60 percent.

Bespoke strategies for developing new markets
Tapping into a new target market usually starts with a single project, which gives the firm an initial insight into the market at hand. “When we see potential for growth,” explains CEO Andy Böckli, “depending on the local circumstances, we either opt for organic growth, the targeted acquisition of a company based there or cooperation with a local partner.” The NÜSSLI Group waits to successfully establish itself before setting up a base using its own material and its own employees.

Sustainability as a success factor
Reliable construction plays a decisive role in the company’s success, but so does sustainability in the sense of rapid, complete and careful dismantling. Why? Because the material can only make the best possible contribution to creating value for the next 365 days if it is re-used at the next event as soon as possible – and in flawless condition. This means that, just a few days after the fact, there is no visible trace of the stadiums that held 50,000 spectators at huge events such as the 2022 Swiss Federal Wrestling and Alpine Festival in Pratteln.
